A number of people want to know how long it takes for Alta White to work, and if their teeth will keep getting whiter if they use the product long term. My personal experience is that it does take longer to work than promised. Well, that’s not strictly true… it says on their site that results can be seen in as little as six days, and this is true, but only in that there are SOME results in that time.
Naturally, when I started using Alta White I was forever looking at my teeth to see if I could notice a difference! For the first couple of days I was disappointed because there was literally NO change to the condition of my teeth at all (or at least, none I could see). By the sixth day, however, I really do believe my teeth were looking whiter. No, not fabulously glowing white, but definitely whiter.
Persisting with Alta White is Important
I continued using Alta White because I wanted to see if the difference would become more profound over time, or if my teeth were as good as they’d get. I also looked around online to see what other people thought of Alta White, and found lots of “Alta White Scam” posts, which was a bit alarming! Still, I had had some success to that time, so I was confident that at least to a certain extent the product lived up to its promises.
Well, I kept using the Alta White system for a few more weeks (to be honest, I didn’t track it 100%, I just kept using it as a part of my daily routine, without obsessing over how white my teeth were getting). So, it was a few weeks after I’d started using it that I really looked at my teeth, and looked hard. Now, I was only using Alta White on the front 12 teeth (not much point in going further back, I don’t think), and so I compared these teeth to the teeth behind them where I wasn’t using the product. I must admit, at this point I was surprised at the difference!
The Changes You Can Expect with Alta White
I think because the change in my teeth with Alta White occurred so gradually over time (the biggest difference was probably the first six days) I wasn’t aware of the overall change as the weeks past. I suppose I can compare it to losing weight. If you’ve ever undergone some weight loss, you can lose a few pounds and really not see it yourself, but when you meet a friend you haven’t seen in a long time they’ll be shocked at how different you look! Because the weight loss is gradual to you, and you’re seeing yourself every day, it’s hard to remember what you were like 10 pounds or so ago (if that makes sense)… but to someone else, it’s surprising.
I believe Alta White was like this. The results were so gradual that it was hard to see them in myself, at least without making the comparison to my back teeth, which were much yellower.
Now, I’m never going to say that using Alta White you’ll have “movie star white” teeth in a few days. It just will not happen! However, Alta White is gentler on the teeth than many over the counter teeth bleaching systems, and definitely a lot less expensive than veneers or other dental procedures! I believe that if you use Alta White, and you KEEP using it, even when you’re not seeing a day to day change, you’ll be surprised and pleased with how white your teeth actually do become. My teeth are not brilliantly white, by any means, but they never will be without expensive veneers. However, I’m not ashamed to smile anymore either 
If you do use Alta White, just realize that any changes won’t happen overnight.

I’m writing this Alta White review to let you know the pros and cons of Alta White. This is purely through my own experience with this product and how well it worked for me. I’m also giving my own recommendations for the use of Alta White based on my own experience (which may not necessarily agree with what you’ve possibly read elsewhere).
My Alta White Review – How Best to Use Alta White
Now, you may have read the hype about how Alta White will make your teeth sparkling white in as little as six days. Well… I would say that in six days you SHOULD notice whiter teeth. Will you smile like a movie star? Not unless your teeth were already pretty bright and white to start off with, I’d say!
If your teeth are sort of like the Before picture on the official ad, then give it a few weeks. And DON’T expect to come out like the After picture. Quite honestly, I don’t think such ads really represent the truth about the Alta White product. Most people with very yellowed or stained teeth will NOT end up with teeth that practically glow after using Alta White OR any other teeth whitening product. The only way you’ll get teeth like that is by visiting your dentist, and most likely getting expensive veneers.
So, back to how best to use Alta White. My recommendation is to follow the instructions to the letter, and be prepared to use Alta White for several weeks to months for best results. Now, once your teeth look good, you can ease back on the use of Alta White and simply return to using it once a week to keep your teeth bright and stain free. If you do as I suggest in my Alta White Review, then I believe you will get good results.
The Truth about Alta White and other Teeth Whitening Products
Unfortunately, there are so many competing products and so many desperate people who want white teeth, that advertising isn’t always 100% true (I think we ALL know this). That’s why, when I bought Alta White I did NOT expect my teeth to end up an unnatural shade of white. I knew that with my natural tooth color that just wasn’t possible.
Now, there’s a whole range of natural tooth shades. Some people seem naturally blessed with whiter teeth. Other people have much more yellowish or greyish teeth. This isn’t necessarily due to anything other than their own genetics! Sad but true, unfortunately. Now, if you’ve got pretty white teeth that just happen to be a little bit stained by perhaps smoking, coffee drinking, too much red wine etc. etc. then you’ll probably get a good result from most commercial whitening products. They don’t really have to work THAT hard to improve your teeth. This is true for Alta White as it is for any other product. The main reason I’d recommend Alta White over others is that it’s much more gentle and natural (no harsh bleaches for example).
If, however, your teeth are naturally quite yellow or greyish, then no over the counter whitening product will give you a movie star smile. That’s a FACT and don’t let anyone try and persuade you otherwise. Using Alta White will definitely improve the appearance of your teeth, however. It will remove stains and make your teeth as white as they can look naturally, without veneers or expensive laser treatments or whatever else your dentist can offer.
I really believe in the Alta White teeth whitening system, as it worked for me FAR better than other bleaches and teeth whitening treatments I have used in the past. All Alta White ingredients are safe and natural, and your tooth enamel won’t be damaged by the use of Alta White (I think this is very important).
So, my Alta White review is, I believe, positive overall. Alta White DOES whiten and clean teeth, it works well if you use it consistently for the necessary amount of time. However, it WON’T whiten your teeth as much as a laser treatment or as much as veneers. This is only to be expected, however!
